When the girls are away, the boys will play!

Since all the screenshots I took from the episode were DELETED by my younger sister, I’m just going to borrow the ones from 2ch. ;_; (not that my raw screenshots from the episode I got from Winny where much better <<;)

Amu still feels guilty about the whole Tadase thing, so it feels like a direct transition from episode 77. Let’s just pretend that 78 didn’t exist k?

Everyone tries to cheer Amu up but the charas all end up arguing over what Amu should be doing to distract herself from her guilty thoughts.

YORU! ;_; He tells Amu about Easter and how Ikuto got captured and needs her help. Amu is unsure of what to do because of how Ikuto treated Tadase. However, Yoru explains that Ikuto’s attitude was due to the violin. Its also been causing him to change into a strange person.

But Amu is still upset about what Ikuto did to Tadase and Yoru tries to explain that her wasn’t really himself. However, Amu still hesitates. When the charas insist that she help find Ikuto, Amu can’t bear it anymore and yells that she always has to do everything and runs out into the streets. She reflects on how she’s hurt a lot of people and she no longer knows what to do.

Some people don’t agree with Amu’s actions but I don’t blame her. She’s young and she’s already dealing with all this drama in her life. (I’m kinda getting the “coming of age” vibe from SC now. o_o) I mean, what would you do if you were conflicted with the 2 most important guys in your life as well as saving the world from Easter? (And I’m pretty sure i would snap if I had to take care of 438957349857389 filler characters and their X-Eggs) Although the anime adaption of how Amu reacted felt a little bit shallow. I don’t know why but it felt like they just trashed her character. o_o;

I find it odd that the child hasn’t shown up yet. Is Satelite going to cut him from the anime completely? o_o

Elsewhere, Kukai is running back home with the groceries and runs into Tadase. He invites him to his house, because he can’t just leave the shouta in the cold. Tadase admits that he’s jealous of Kukai for having so many brothers and Kukai replies that his brothers are loud and they get in the way a lot.

Feels like an otome game.

Anyways, Kukai introduces Tadase to his brothers. Tadase, you lucky little shouta. You get to pick from 5 4 hot guys. Which one will you choose? The brothers crowd around Tadase and start teasing him but they quickly turn their attention to Kukai, who bought all the wrong things.

And then Kukai and the eldest brother play a game of punishment soccer. Though for a few minutes, I could’ve sworn I was watching Xiaolin Soccer. Apparently they’re super competitive and whatnot.

Kukai talks about his older brother and the time that Kaidou lost Kukai’s favorite soccer ball. It’s nice to see that that scene got animated, although they didn’t bother to make Kaidou look any younger.

And all that talk cheered Tadase up! Though I think they skipped the part where he mentions Ikuto?

Amu’s still reflecting on the whole situation and how it wasn’t really Ikuto’s fault but her own. *hugs Amu* I’m so glad she’s made this much progress on her own. ;A; And I love how her charas are like “DEPRESSION TIME IS OVAH, BE HAPPY NAO” and give her encouraging words.

AND AMU RECEIVES A TEXT MSG FROM UTAU! <3 And just the very picture of Utau’s eye Utau and her charas snap Amu out of her uneasiness and it gives her the small push she needed to get off that swing and start finding Ikuto. Just like it should, because its Utau. <3

They search for Ikuto and find him and the old amusement part they visited back in season 1. I swear, Ikuto’s a pedo, I mean, look at all the kids he attracted with his violin! XD BUT NOW’S NOT THE TIME FOR THIS. D:

I know this is suppose to be serious, but I can’t help but laugh because of that awful shade of purple. XD

As Amu tries to call out to Ikuto, he chara naris’ into Death Rebel and immediately starts cutting anything in his way with his scythe. Yoru and Amu try to reach out to Ikuto but no avail. Amu can’t even bring herself to fight Ikuto even though she knows he’s in this state.

Amu notices that Ikuto’s about the slash the teacups that they rode on, *sparkle sparkle*, and immediately stands in his way to defend it. But Ikuto is still under the violin’s control and continues to run towards Amu and attempts to slash whatever is in his way.

T_T This scene in the manga kinda killed me, and now since it was animated with all the voices, it just hurts even more. ;_; But then again, I’m happy that Amu remembered the whole teacup thing. Must’ve been pretty important to her if she goes out of her way to defend it. <333

Tadase manages to make it in time to save Amu. And in next week’s episode, Tadase and Amu have their own little attack and once again try to help Ikuto out of the violin’s grasp.

Wow, Satelite just proved that they can do a good job when they want to. :O I was pretty suprised by this ep, it stayed very loyal to the chapter. Although I wish they cut out the little filler soccer match with Kaidou and Kukai so that we could see more of the Tadase, Ikuto, Amu battle. I really enjoyed it and hopefully next week will be just as good, if not better, than this one. XD
